Ann, I have skylights and while I have lots of trees they do not shade the skylights. I have not had any problems so far. Maybe mine are a little bit tinted. I had a neighbor who put shades on hers.

I broke off a front bottom tooth today and before Howie can offer I will tell him no thanks as to borrowing his plyers or especially letting him use them on me.

Howie, if you can get over this disappointment, Santa might bring you a whole set of pliers! You could have your choice of all sizes and types!

ANN, I hate to see trees coming down too. They're so protective, keeping wind and sun from doing more damage and giving a home to birds and wild animals. I find them restful on the eyes too.

I hope you can find a solution to the skylight situation. Are there glare-proof sheets you can put over glass panes? Seems to me I've seen them advertised. I've also seen shades for skylights.

Thanks Agate. I believe we'll get shades in tracks but we will need a pole to reach them. They are in a cathedral ceiling.

Virginia, you made a good decision about your tooth.

    Cool

I have bad news. As Agate said, Santa may bring me an assortment of new pliers, and if he does, I may have to start charging a small fee for tooth pulling. So before Christmas, you should get those problem teeth pulled while it's still free.

Howie, you are so generous, you remind me of the House Republicans today who voted to take away health care for millions. Now you would take away tooth extractions.

    Cool

That box has not been used, not even walked across to get to the box behind it. But no accidents, so I'm still waiting. Maybe she is constipated.

She is up on the bed with me, almost ON the computer, and reaching up on the computer. It makes typing interesting. But it's fun to tell her about it in a joking way.

The House, the Senate, BAH HUMBUG!!! I see what's going on, but I find UFO news MUCH more interesting. I've seen them 3 times in my lifetime, and have no doubt they are real. I even have theories about what they are. BOO!!!

The question is: Is Congress real?

After Christmas Virginia could still have her tooth pulled free if she had a second tooth pulled, right? You are offering one of those buy-one-get-one-free deals, of course?

Well, she would have to pay for the one tooth, but at least the second one would be totally free.

    You just can't beat that.

    Cool

That seem to be a popular gimmick on about EVERYTHING you see for sale on TV. And I see it used more and more in the grocery store. It works on me early in the month when I'm thinking about how I would need it in a few weeks.

It even crossed my mind, come Christmas time, and I start charging for tooth pulling, a two for one price sale. What a deal!!!
