Default Keep on Moving: March 2017

MS creates some real challenges to keep on moving. It helps to inspire each other on how to find ways to move.

Did you stretch in your bed, swing your arms, roll side to side today? Or perhaps you did housework? Or exercised in a pool? Pushed the wheelchair wheels with your arms at the store? Post them here and we can egg each other on.

Navigating with a manual wheelchair can be a workout for the arms, particularly if there are heavy doors to be held open or carpeting to roll the chair on or furniture I have to move. I try to be rested and in shape when I'm going to be propelling my chair.

Is anyone else having trouble getting access to the emoticons here? I click on [More] at the right of the message window but get nowhere.

I got up, walked to the bathroom, then to my son's room, then the kitchen and made my breakfast.

Agate, the emoticons work just fine for me. I hope they are playing nicely for you now.

I may win the prize today (please, not a mouse): I went w my friend Ann and had lunch and walked around the Museum of Fine Arts for 3 hours!

Legs are OK but I am not home an hour yet.

My goodness Ann!!! Three hours of walking after having lunch out - that is just unreal. Well, for the last few years it has been unreal for me, but it use to be normal.

    Congratulations! (emoticon for Agate)

Not so good but I've been keeping up with the other exercises and am resolving to do better on the walking.

    Thumbs up

I see 2198 on there. I may have days I walk that much, but most days, like today, I'm sitting on the bed watching TV. Doing it daily is what REALLY matters. Keep it up!
