At first, it REALLY did. But once I got used to it, it seemed to only affect the pain which is why I'm taking it. I also take Tylenol/Codeine to be taken before bedtime, but have stopped because it doesn't seem needed.

Howie, Virginia is right about the mice. In the previous apartment building there was a front entrance door that was a heavy glass and metal object that was almost flush with the ground. There was less than half of inch of space.

One day I happened to be looking through that glass door and saw a couple of mice playing around outside. It turned out that the game they were playing must have been Go In and Out of the Building because they were squeezing themselves under that door and sliding right back out again. It was no problem for them at all, and they seemed to be having a wonderful time going in and out under that door, very fast.

Well Howie, your cats do not seem to be standing by whatever opening the mice have to your house at the time. Personally, I would tell them no more turkey and no more cheese if I ever saw another mouse in the house. I would set them straight on just what their job is.

Vicky, you are so good at finding anything and everything on the internet. You must spend a lot of time on your laptop or computer.

I got married 56 years ago yesterday (the 3rd) and my husband died 30 years ago tomorrow (the 5th). You never get past these dates no matter how long it has been, but especially when they come so close together. I am doing fine though.

It must be a sad weekend for you, Virginia. Tell us a little about your husband.

Just got home from going to get MIL, taking her w us to visit a friend for tea. Then 2 grocery stores, CVS and a bagel place to buy sandwiches for a late lunch back at MIL's house. After that, we stopped at WFds and a different Stop and Shop to find my yogurt.

It's 15 degrees w a windchill in the single digits.

    Grateful to be home,
    ANN

    Thumbs up

I guess you will always remember those dates, but that's good. I was married ONE time, and that was enough for me.

We had separated, and I wasn't about to pay for a divorce. One day I get a call at work to come down to the courthouse. I had no idea what it was for.

So I found where to go, went in, and they handed the divorce papers. I laughed out loud when handed the papers, and the clerk said it was the first time she had ever seen someone laugh when told they were officially divorced.

A very good question. She'd have loved being there, I'm sure. She was inside the apartment, not allowed out in the hall, which is where I was, near the front entrance to the building. This whole mouse escapade might not have happened if she'd been on the scene.

Virginia, by some extremely clever arithmetic I've figured out that you must have been married for 26 years. Congratulations on staying married that long--I lasted only 13 years and then it was over.

I admire anyone who stays married. Putting up with any other person on a daily basis, no matter how nice that person is, isn't easy.

    ((((((Virginia)))))) ~

How bittersweet to lose your husband only 2 days after your 26th anniversary. How extra difficult that must have been for you. Thirty or a thousand years later, those dates are forever etched in your heart.

I'm sending thoughts of peace and comfort your way ~

    Love & Light,
