    *Joy*, ElectricJoy, JTwin of the MS forum--farewell to a dear friend

    The MS forum has lost one of its dear members, whose user name here was most recently JTwin, previously *Joy* and ElectricJoy.

    She was a valued contributor for quite a few years here, and though she didn't post much in the last few years, she was here in July of last year.

    She died of progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML), a rare disease that can affect persons with MS being treated with Tysabri (or a couple of the other MS drugs).

    We will miss her.
    SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) since December 2020.

    JOY

    THE TRAVELER

    By James Dillet Freeman

    She has put on invisibility.
    Dear Lord, I cannot see—
    But this I know, although the road ascends
    And passes from my sight,
    That there will be no night;
    That You will take her gently by the hand
    And lead her on
    Along the road of life that never ends,
    And she will find it is not death but dawn.
    I do not doubt that You are there as here,
    And You will hold her dear.

    Our life did not begin with birth,
    It is not of the earth;
    And this that we call death, it is no more
    Than the opening and closing of a door—
    And in Your house how many rooms must be
    Beyond this one where we rest momently.

    Dear Lord, I thank You for the faith that frees,
    The love that knows it cannot lose its own;
    The love that, looking through the shadows, sees
    That You and she and I are ever one!

    Mom to Jon, 49, & Michael, 32, born with an undiagnosed progressive neuromuscular disease. Angel Michael received his wings in 2003. Angel Jon received his wings in 2019. In 2020, Jim, their Dad, joined them.

        :) Joy is dancing in heaven. We miss her but she is no longer in pain or suffering. I look forward to seeing all my family and friends who have preceded me into heaven. My faith helps a lot. I pray for all Joy's family and friends to find comfort. Jeanie :)

          I have learned that the friends I have lost still populate my mind. So, Ann, I expect your friendship will go on.
          I hope this thought gives you some peace.
