I met a man
I met a man, an artist, who was doing a mirror etching for PTSD. He was explaining to the man next to me how PTSD doesn't just affect military and the police and fire dept. It affects those growing up in dysfunctional and abusive homes. Suddenly it hit me, my oldest son suffers from this. Possibly myself. There are far more people than I ever had thought about. I mean I had taken into consideration those worse case scenarios of abuse but never knew how truly widespread and invasive it is. I need to thank that man next time I see him for opening my eyes.
