    ((((((Hugs to All)))))) ~

Nearly every day, when I visit our Child Neurology Forum, I notice the heading for our Coping with the Loss of a Child forum, followed by (1 viewing). So, I check in to see who might be visiting, and I find 1 Member (me) and 1 Guest (you).

You could be one person, visiting frequently. Or you could be several persons, visiting separately. Or you could be a member, who isn't logged in, and appears as a Guest.

Whoever you are, I want you to know that I am here for you. I am here to support you, to encourage you, to empathize with you, to grieve with you, to offer you coping tools for your grief journey, and to guide you on a path where you will find peace in your grief.

Iím here to assure you that it is possible to move forward, to adjust and adapt to the loss of your beloved child. It doesnít go away, but it softens and becomes more bearable. After 13 years, I miss my son as much as I did then, a year ago, a month ago, yesterday. Each day, I grow stronger in my faith that Michael is still with us, and my spiritual union with him expands. And this reduces the pain of his physical absence.

If you need a listening ear and an understanding heart, Iím available. Itís true, we donít have an active forum here, and Iím only one person.

But, if you join BrainTalk, and you post, there will be two of us. And perhaps that will encourage other (1 Viewing) Guests to join us. This is how we build our communities and our networks.

Youíre not alone. Iím here. Take my hand, and weíll walk this journey together.

    Love & Light,

    Rose
Mom to Jon, 47, (seizure disorder; Gtube; trache; colostomy; osteoporosis; hypothyroid; enlarged prostate; lymphedema, assorted mysteries) and Michael, 32, (intractable seizures; Gtube), who were born with an undiagnosed progressive neuromuscular disease and courageous spirits. Our Angel Michael received his wings in 2003 and now resides in Heaven. Our Angel Jon lives at home with me and Jim, the world's most wonderful dad.
