    Cool

:) Thanks Rose. I have a phone in every room and all are set on loud. I will try turning off the ones near the bedroom and see if that works. I also have ear plugs and a mask to keep out light. I am going to bed early tonight and hope to sleep sound. Jeanie :)

    Cool

The final hour is here. Today is payday!!!

I didn't sleep last night. I was in bed, no TV going, but I just couldn't sleep. I'll leave here in about an hour, take a bag of trash to the dump, go to the bank, then the store. I actually have a grocery list today. I don't always make one, but should.

I am out of EVERYTHING! I have a box of oatmeal, and some sugarless lemonade. That doesn't sound like much, but would have gotten me through a few more days.

So everyone have a great day, and chow down just for me!

I left the house at 7, went to dump, bank, and store. Going smooth as glass, then on the way home, went to CVS, and they have changed their hours for the pharmacy to 10. DOH!!!

The 3rd of the month is usually a truly great day for me too.

I'm out of things as well but mainly because I had to toss out a lot of items that had been around too long. Rice, flour, popcorn, oatmeal--all were too old.

It's a job I'd been thinking of doing for all too long but just didn't do. Then this building got a new pest control company. We get pest control because there's a continuing problem with tiny black ants.

This company sends out a representative every month to go over 10 apartments, and mine is one of those that will be done in a few days.

They look into kitchen cabinets and pull out anything that is past its expiration date.

I really don't want this happening in a big way because it will take up their time, and so I decided to get rid of all of the things around here that will strike them as too old.

I refuse to get rid of tea though. Rumor has it that this guy is even telling people to get rid of their tea if it's past its date.

I always thought that tea keeps forever and that it doesn't attract pests. It has no food value, after all.

Do you have a safe place where you could hide your tea?

Great idea! I can stuff it into a dresser drawer or somewhere else that's not in the kitchen. There isn't a lot of it but I'm attached to it. Some of the types aren't so easy to get, like lapsang souchong.

Let that sink in for awhile Vicky. It only hurts at the very beginning.
