Default JEANIE - Here is verification of your soap for cramps!!!

This article was published in our local newspaper yesterday under "The People's Pharmacy"

Q: I read in your column that you can relieve leg cramps with ordinary soap. Would this work for menstrual cramps as well?

A: Surprisingly, the answer may be yes. Anesthesiologist Yon Doo Ough and his colleagues crushed Ivory soap and used gauze to apply the crushed soap over cramping muscles. When they found
that helpful, they tested soap-scented skin patches (SSSP). The investigators found that these helped relieve menstrual cramps within half an hour (Journal of Alternative and Complementary
    Medicine, July 2008).

The oils used to scent Ivory soap have anti-spasmodic activity, which may explain the benefit.

I use to have leg cramps and due to Jeanie's advice I tried the Ivory soap under the sheet. I think it helped, but it has been a long time.

How did you put it under the sheet? Did you crush it up? Do they have an Ivory soap laundry detergent. That would be easy to sprinkle under the sheet.

You can get it on Amazon. Not sure about the store.

I'm starting to use Amazon for things I use to buy from Walmart because I probably couldn't park close enough to the front door. Energy saved is energy for later!

Same here, Howie. Plus, the store is so BIG. I just can't do that much extended walking these days.

I have heard they now have the electric carts like I use at Food Lion, but you have to get to that front door, and that's the hard part. I'll take Amazon! I have a bath rug ordered right now, and they send emails to let you know how it's progressing, and when it will arrive. Hard to beat that! My Walmart days are over!

Same here. I only buy a few things from them these days and avoid it whenever I can. The way they treat their employees is pathetic.

Me neither, Agate. We don't have one close to our part of the City.

At Mom's, we take her to Walmart for a stock up trip every other month. We mostly stay in the food and paper product/cat food area. Sometimes she wants a vitamin and sends me (the nurse and PA) to choose it. The pharmacy is "way far" as my nephew says. By the time we all meet back at check out, Mom is just about out of breath. We give the money to Peter and sit on a bench watching him.

Peter brings the car to the door and loads it up and home we go. We don't go any further than the living room recliners.

We're going to Mom's again starting Sunday.

With the advancement of drone technology, eventually someone will start flying deliveries to you that you ordered online. But it will be a ways off. Lots of things to work out such as controlling drone traffic to avoid crashes.
