Love the look of that salad with tomatoes, red onions, black olives and feta cheese. Just a little lettuce. Uhmmmmm! so good.
It does look good doesn't it?

Spoken like a true Ohioan, Sally.
My Ohio cousins would not eat tomato sauce on their pasta and
    their pizza featured cream cheese.

I'm a yankee who grew up around italians and irish.
We all ate southern eye-talian food.

I like most things on a Mediterranean Diet. Now if someone would just cook it for me. However, I will add a Doctor said that broccoli is not good if you have a thyroid problem, which I do.
    Broccoli not good?

Nuthatch, I'm leery of that article. It reminds me of those anti-meat and anti-milk articles. If we believe all of them, there would be nothing left to eat!

I was born in OH but grew up in KY and we had tomato sauce on both. So did everyone I knew.

Of course, our pizza was Chef Boy-ar-dee from a box.

There are a lot of things I used to love till I learned that they were not all that good for me. Don't even crave them anymore. I don't think I've had a piece of pizza in over a year. David loves spaghetti and meatballs so we do that maybe once or twice a month but I am mostly gluten free and eat very little dairy except plain yogurt and sharp cheddar. Big into fresh fruits and veggies but I have not been able to wean off the meats.
