Hi Bill, i'm fine thanks, how are you?

First time I applied for my scans and medical records, I was advised to ask my GP to request for them. But I now know this is unneccessary and you can request yourself, which is what I did for my set of first follow up scans. For Q.E. in Birmingham you can email Accesstohealthrecords@uhb.nhs.uk and they will send you the relevant forms. You will also need to send coppies of i.d's and someone else will need to sign the form to verify you are who you say you are. It's really easy and well worth doing. Yes there is a fee and i think the c.d's are 10 each, and you can request your full medical records and you pay per page, but it's all capped at 50 if I remember correctly so you may as well ask for everything if doing so unless you just want your scans.

but.... You don't get the images like you would think you would. You have to view them in a piece of software but you get the software to view the images and you can scroll through the different layers of your brain. Took me a while to figure out as I didn't have a mouse on my laptop, but with a scroll wheel mouse it is easy to look through the different images as you select the series of images and scroll through with the wheel and it's as easy as that. You will also get the radiologists reports that accompany the images.

Best of luck and let me know if you want any help with it. Interestingly, that image I attached shows how lucky I was, as my brain had started coning. You can see the bottom part starting to slip down towards my spinal column which is what nearly killed me....

    Anyway, speak spoon,

    Thanks

    Will

    Hi Will,

I,m good thanks, busy with this new job I,ve got doing drug and alcohol testing.

No I haven,t applied for my MRI scans as yet, although I have every intention of doing so eventually.

I will do when I get a spare minute as we recently moved house too so a little disorganised at the moment as you can imagine. If I have any problems though I,ll get back in touch with you.

    Take care
