But you made it home safe, and that's the main thing! Keep us posted, and I would like to know if you feel it's having a positive effect. Take care Mizz Kitty.

    Cool

Well, ALL my bills for the month have been paid by phone, or mailed off. I bought no beer today, and am going to be Mr. Coffee this month. I just drink beer to kill time anyway, and coffee will do the same thing. Plus, it doesn't seem to affect my sleep at all.

Last night wasn't a good sleep night, but not because of beer or coffee, because I've been out of both for a while. But thinking about all I had to do today ruined my sleep. I'm always like that. A doctor's appointment will do the same thing.

    I love my tangled wiring!

Howie would you pay a couple of mine? My power bill for Jan looks like the war debt. One of our meters has a heater for the pump house, our water well and a yard light. I plugged in the diesel pickup and had a heater going on one of the tractors (also diesel) that I use to move snow. And it went from around $38 a month to over $90 and that isn't including the house or the shop. Ugh!

We are suppose to have a big storm roll through. Lots of snow so I need to change oil in the tractor and put the snow plow back on. My wife said that the school dist alerted parents that they need to check with TV and radio stations in the morning as more than likely there will be a snow day and probably the next day as well due to the ice build up on the roads. I just went to town for motor oil and pharmacy and the road crews are already spraying ice melt on the roads.

Last storm they left a 3 ft berm in form of the driveway at the county road and it froze so hard I had to go back and get a tractor with a front loader to move it, of course it didn't want to start as it was too cold. The plow just sat there and spun the wheels. Ice is usually our biggest problem as it will usually get up to 35+ by noon and then freezes hard by next morning. Everyone has rust on their cars as it took awhile for people to realize that they started using salt and spray and they needed to rinse it off. Upside is we don't have nearly as many slide offs and no where near the huge black ice that we used to have.

Only time I ever had a near miss was doing 50 on the interstate and spun 180 deg pointing into oncoming traffic. I had my SIL with me and I still tease him that it was the only time I ever saw a black man turn white. Not sure who was more scared me or him.

And so it goes down here on Tobacco road.

    Howie,
    I like your new avatar.

    Peg ,
Glad you made it home safely. Sorry about the visibility and clearing.

    Gary,
We live next door to a volunteer fire station and their plows are always pushing snow across the end of our driveway causing similar problems. We just have to break it up with spades and godevils (sp?).

It started raining here about 2 and a half hours ago and the temp has dropped from 50-40 and we're getting some huge wind gusts. No snow in the forecast at the moment.

Cherie, I heard it was a brain, but I wouldn't know, I've never had one.
