So happy it went well, even better as they got rid of those stones too.

Yes, did you get a good lunch out of it?

So, an update. Two weeks in. So far the results have been .... well, mixed. Certainly much bettr than pre botox. Still wet some mornings, but not soaked through, so that's good. And dry much more often. Dry to the point a couple of times that we thought perhaps there was a sediment blockage problem, but that doesn't seem to be the case. This week will be the real test: up until now I've still been on bladder meds (at the advice of my doctor). Starting today I'm off the meds. We'll see what happens from here.

The wound, on the other hand is not good. Bloody thing won't heal.now they're trying sheep intestine. Supposedly it will stimulate growth. It's stuck inside the wound, left there for a week, that piece taken out and new inserted. Been in for a week now, due to be changed on Monday. Smells bad, a lot of drainage, don't want to be near anyone.

No baths or showers allowed, so back to sponge baths. No visiting nurse as she only needs to come now to change the catheter, once a month. No home health aid as she only comes to help with showers. Physical therapy continues, but I'm discouraged about that as the wound doctor is talking about surgery again, a six week hospital / rehab stay...and back to square on on the therapy. Again.

Won't depress you with my depression anymore.

The procedure on Monday might go a long way toward solving some problems?

I'm sorry the wound is taking its time healing.

Is there a case manager or someone, maybe your primary care doctor, who has a handle on the details of your situation? Someone you can turn to for practical suggestions?

I hope that there will be other options besides more surgery for you.

I'm glad you're still sharing your experiences with us. Hang in there.

I have a small wound on my tailbone they are watching closely. It's doing okay for now.
Seems to be healing and not getting any bigger or worse. I hope that holds true. I don't
want to go through the horrors that Cat has seen.

Sounds like a setback, Cat. At least the bladder is giving you some relief.

Sal, sounds like your wound was caught early. Fingers crossed.
