Default Possible blood test for diagnosing MS at onset

A blood test for diagnosing autoimmune diseases is being launched, and the first one to hit the market will be the test for MS, sometime this year, according to this:

Wow, that would be a big step. I imagine an MRI would still be needed for a positive Dx. But it would make a big difference in early detection.

It would probably be cheaper and certainly less of a bother than an MRI. They've been talking about a blood test for years. Maybe they've finally found one. This particular project has been awarded a couple of million dollars and the NIH is behind it.

I wonder what they actually detect that points to MS?

It puzzles me because MS seems to be more than one disease. I'm not holding my breath.

I wish it said more about the test and what in the blood it detects. Like blood cells shaped like little m's and little s's?
