I woke up thinking it was Sunday, I guess now you're going to tell me it's not 1968? Happy New Year!

We finally got to sleep around 2 am and up around 8:30 or 9. Dave's still hacking and congested but feels better in his third day on antibiotics. I have been like a bump on a log today. Effort to do anything. Have to drive to the condo tomorrow late morning to clean from a tenant who is checking out. Probably a short stay as Dave's still too sick to spend a day skiing. Upper thirties and overcast most of today. Got an "in house" bird feeder installed in my office window today. (It has curved two way mirror that the birds enter outside and walk essentially into the house to feed in an enclosed bump in area. Christmas gift from Heather.

What a great present that bird feeder would be for some cats.

    Just kidding...

I slept through the fireworks but at 11 they had already started up, and sometimes sounded as if they were right under my window. I went to sleep anyway.

I'm glad if everyone has survived the festivities.

A whole new year, a clean slate!

    Cool

Back when I let the cats out, I saw Sam creep up on a bird, then when it spotted her, it took off, and that cat snatched that bird, right out of the air. The good news is....both stay indoors now!
