Day three of "home alone". all is well. I think. At least I'm up and about, and haven't slid out of my chair just yet. People have been coming by to do what they promised == help me dress, tend to kitty litter boxes. furkids stand by the door and meow plaintively, looking for Pop, and get disappointed when someone else comes in. And they're disappointed that they have to wait until 8 a.m.!!! to get their morning treat (Tom Cat -- Pop -- gets up at 4:30 a.m. and feeds them tuna...) By 8 a.m. they're STARVING, or so they claim. Anyway. no other news from here. Keep on being bad....

Glad you're hanging in there, Cat!

Being able to take your time when doing things is a huge plus, I think. I hope you're not feeling time pressure of any kind as you do the things you need to do this weekend.

I've found that if I give myself all the time in the world and keep reminding myself that there's absolutely no hurry, I can get through a task with fewer problems, whether it's a bathroom cleanup or something broken that I have to fix.

Good going Cat! As this has been difficult it might give you a sense of accomplishment. Agate is right the more I hurry to do anything the more something goes wrong. I am still on double the dose of Nitro and Clonidine to get BP down. Everyone is taking a nap so I walked out to the shop and crash....so I pulled myself up and went back inside. On the good side BP was 114/73 as compared to 168/103 at the Dr on Thursday but the fatigue is overwhelming. Hopefully by Monday thing will start to improve.

I know that I am an accident waiting for a place to happen. Doc said that I am going to blow a gasket and that will be the end and you will be one of those people that everyone says he never know what happened, he just dropped dead. He doesn't mess around. I have a thing against rich widows so I am not intending to create one! Told my wife that and she didn't think it was funny either.

So...who is the baddest among us?

Blustery weather continues here with temps in the low 50s and wind speeds around 30MPh with higher gusts. Rain stopped around 1PM today but the surf is very high. It feels like mid to late fall and I caved and wore warm clothing today. dinner tonight was a comfort meal of sirloin tips in mushroom/onion gravy over rice with grilled asparagus.

I am grateful Joaquin is not making landfall and my conference in Arlington, VA Tuesday through Thursday still is a go.

Dave and I spent the morning cleaning. He vacuumed while I cleaned bathrooms. Then he took a bucket of hot Ammonia water out and washed a bunch of windows from the outside. big help. I did laundry and plants and dusting. Now it's up to me to do the inside of the windows. I have tomorrow and Monday at home before a three day conference and a couple of days of recovery. Then on to another MRI arthrogram the following week, and David's colonoscopy and perhaps having to go back to Upstate to help with the finalization of parent's property dispersal. Whew!

    Cool

Cherie, I know it's hard to believe, but I'm known as Spasticus the Badicus in ancient European areas. I changed it to Howie to make it easier to pronounce.
