Sally might not like this talk about putting rabbits in stews. She should be here, posting a link to a webcam showing dear little baby rabbits. I promise not to talk about roasting ducklings--until she gets back, anyway.

It doesn't generally get that hot in New England. They're predicting mid to upper 80s next week and that's above average for this area.

My birthday is toward the end of July and I'm hoping for warm/hot and dry. I'm comfortable that way.

Oh Sam, what did you catch, a rabbit? Well, waste not, want not!

I could not bear the thought of eating that sweet little rabbit that roams around in my yard - usually about dusk or sometime in the evening.

I bet. Our cats keep the rodent population down to zero at least around the house. They don't really go out in the fields because its just way too scary to go that far from the house. We call them porch panthers. I am getting ready to cut the grass and one cat is laying in the grass. You can drive the mower around him and he MAY look at you but mostly he will give you a dirty look and very slowly move out of the way.

We are on day 9 of 100+ deg days. This was the hottest June on record and one of the driest. It is also going to break the record for the longest string of 100+ days. So we are living the history weather wise at least. Unfortunately not records that you want to break.

Yesterday was our 32nd wedding anniversary. We decided to go out to eat. Its limited as to the # of places to go unless you go to Boise. We went in one place and the A/C was broken it must have been at least 85. So we ended going to our favorite Mexican restaurant. This place looks like a dive and it is located way in the back behind the Pilot Truck Travel Center. They have authentic Mexican food and it is good. I dont even know the name of the place but everyone calls it Pilot Taco. My daughter calls most Mexican restaurants, Taco Bell etc. Plastic Mexican food with redwood sawdust sprinkled on it.

The Sally search reminded me that Braintalk was the first message board I ever joined. Before the 2006 date that shows, I went looking for info for my Father. His Post-Polio Syndrome was getting worse and we had just gotten connected to the internet. Can't remember the year. It's been over 3 years since I was really active in an MS forum. You are all a great group of people and I miss the interaction.

Peg, you've hit the upper 90's? Sheesh, here in east central Iowa we've barely been over 80. I haven't run the a/c yet.

We too have bunnies in the yard. Other critters as well; just watched a young deer step out of the woods and walk up the road. I'm not much on eating rabbit but I do love me some squirrel! Been a lot of years since I had any.

It's 71 here going up to 76 later today. Gary, I'll bet temps like that would give you a chill! Those 100 degree days would kill me. I don't do heat very well these days.

When I was very young, we had bunnies for pets. And every couple of weeks or so we'd have rabbit for dinner. I was probably around 8 years old before I realized that my bunnies grew up to appear on the dinner table.
