    OT: May Chit Chat

Happy May Day to everyone. Not sure where Peg is (hope you are OK) but I thought I'd start this as folks are posting today on April's Thread.

    Howie,
I sent you a private message on both this forum and Facebook. Please check for it. Thanks.

Today I drove the 220 miles to our condo in NH for a few days of down time. Did some shopping and stopping along the way and turned a 4 hour trip into nearly 7 hours. Settled in and enjoying the quiet and the views. The ski slopes still have snow on them and the ice rink across from my door still has snow all around it yet it is in the 60s. David was too busy with work to join me at this time and I have a Board meeting here (homeowner's) Saturday morning so will probably drive back on Sunday. I am really looking forward to being where the yard and house are not demanding my time and energy for a few days.

    Blessings all....

Have a good trip. Would love to hear from Peg as this is not like her at all. But thanks Cherie.

That is such a lovely, welcoming approach to your place, nuthatch!

No, it's not like Peg not to start the month's chitchat thread but thanks to Cherie for taking the initiative.

It does cheer a person up to find friends here.

Oh no, Peg, how awful. ATV's don't "know" you like a horse.

Get well, keep the ice coming!

Peg, I have to type with my left hand because of MS. Sorry about your wrist. I hope they can get it right again with a minimal amount of trouble. And stick with the horses, those ATVs have hurt MANY people!

Ouch, Peg! Stay off those young 'un toys, ok? A horse IS probably safer for you!

Best wishes for a successful surgery, I am so glad it wasn't worse as well!

I am so sorry Peg. I expect you are either in a fair amount of pain or some pills for it. I hope this will not be a lengthy thing. Stick with horses.

                          *@#%+~&{!! Too bad!

Thank you for going to the effort of letting us know. Once they put you in a cast, you usually have much less pain, or at least that's the way it was for me with a broken wrist. They wanted to operate but I said no.

Good luck with the surgery. I hope it goes well and fixes everything up. Sounds as if they've let you out of the hospital, and you're home until the surgery. Be good, and if you can't be good, be careful.
