Weed Strains Are Mostly Bull- some unnecessary language

Weed dispensaries have Only registered and activated users can see links., Click Here To Register... like goose **** in the springtime, and an oddly stressful ritual has entered many of our lives: choosing a strain of the devil's lettuce to roll into a jazz cigarette. The conversation typically goes something like this:

Dispensary lady: My guy, today we've got some Jack Herer, which is sativa-dominant and has a cerebral and talkative high, or Banana Clip, which is close to a 50/50 hybrid and will give you the body buzz of an indica with some of the effects of a sativa. We've also got God's Green Crack and Mango Dream.

    Me, internally: Hm, seems fake.

    Me, externally: Banana Clip, please.

After sampling the bud (this actually happened), the hybrid Banana Clip felt suspiciously similar to a strain I'd previously tried, which was supposedly an "almost pure" strain of another variety. I also couldn't find any trace of a strain called Banana Clip on the web, and I suspect I was smoking Only registered and activated users can see links., Click Here To Register.... Just what the hell was going on inside this disorienting kaleidoscope of primo greens, I wondered? Is any of this even, well, real?

There are strains that are very similar because they are hybrids. Also the THC and CBD content is pretty close in some strains so the effects are similar. I use AC/DC and HarleTsu which are similar to Cremedy, God's Gift and Ringo's Gift. It's usually 1% or less THC and 12 to 16% CBD. Those are the go to ones for my pain. For sleep any of the Kushes are good, around 16% THC, the taste is different but effect the same.
If no pain, no gain is true, where is everything I should have gained?
DDD, Fibro, CFS, pain for 20 years. ADR c 5/6 Feb. 2018 doing well.
Back to pain management, fibromyalgia getting worse.

I have found a wide variety between some of the strains. There are sativa, or indica dominant strains. The sativa dominant tend to be more stimulating for me, and can induce seizures if they are too strong on the sativa side, so I avoid them. I stick with the indica dominant ones.

Besides seizures, I have pain issues as well from skeletal problems. (Aseptic necrosis of the hips) The CBD helps for inflammation in the joints, and the THC does wonders for the pain when I get those flare ups.

I make my own organic, whole plant extract salve with essential oils for quick absorption through the skin, for topical use. Excellent stuff! Shingles? Ha! Rashes? Humph! This stuff is amazing! Inflammation, redness, and itching gone in minutes! I was just experimenting at first, but now I am a believer. I just wish I had more volunteers in my family with a greater variety of complaints to try it out on. Only one complaint about the smell. Hey, when I grew up, the best medicines tasted horrible! The next batch, perhaps I can add some lavender oil to the mixture....

Hi Firehorse. I find that the Sativa can trigger bipolar II mania if used too long but an Indica I prefer in the evening before bed. That or a strong medible. So during the day I use a Sativa high hybrid and in the evening just before bed a dose of high Indica. Right now it is not doing a lot for my pain except keeping the burning from my hips down at bay but the pain is still there. I have other issues that hardly raise their head thanks to my MMJ use. I do have some samples creams for pain and other things and have started using those. Have to be regular. Too bad we aren't close or I'd let you try on me LOL. Sounds like something I could use. My caregivers only work with a limited variety of things.
